Beginning in go karts then moving into the 602 Crate Sportsman Division for a few years before finding his way into the Modified Class where he competes weekly at the Woodhull Raceway. Dayton has a very interesting story to tell including some very serious health issues which interrupted his and his families lives when he was a young guy but now that is under control and his focus is on winning the 2026 Modified Point Championship where he finished in the runner up spot last year.

This week we made a return engagement to Paynes Trailer Sales in Canisteo where we had a wonderful conversation with Barry Payne and his daughter Deanna (Mert). At the age of just 20, Alex is way ahead of his time in driving experience and knowledge of how to set up race cars. It was a great interview that could have lasted for hours. On Monday's show the plan is to have coverage of this weekend's Woodhull Raceway 2025 Awards Banquet. I will be attending the banquet in hopes of getting some quotes from the Track Champions and what their plans are for 2026 to keep the listeners informed. During the broadcast I will try and get through as many of their classes as possible covering the top ten in final points, Rookies and any additional special awards. If I don't get through it all I'll finish it up next week. Race results here locally are about all done with the exception of this Saturday's Monster Bash at Thunder Mountain Speedway in Center Lisle, NY. They were forced to cancel tonight's action due to the inclement weather, but they have rescheduled everything to Saturday. This Monday's show finds Lowery Family Farms, 78 Main Street in Savona as our headline sponsor and it is a pretty good bet that Kyle Lowery will come right into the studio and we will talk. If he gets busy, we will just do a phone in interview. This guy wears a lot of hats, and he continues to be a driving force in Motorsports Marketing in this region.
